Returns Procedures

Please contact us before returning an item (Email or call 01202 730630) so we can ensure you are sending it to the right address and that it has the relevant information with it so we can associate it to the correct order, the returns address is

60 Days No Quibble Returns

At Bournemouth Baby Centre we offer a 60 day no quibble returns period on all products , if you change your mind provided the item is still in its original packaging with all labels attached and in a saleable unused condition. If the items were specially ordered in for you from a range that we don't normally stock then this does not apply and additional extra restocking fees may apply.  

To process a return please use the contact form and provide your full name , order number and product you would like to return or you can also email us directly bournemouthbaby@live.co.uk  or call 01202 730630.

You can either arrange the return at your own cost and risk with a courier of your choice or we can arrange collection for you at a cost of £17.95 per box. Please arrange a return first and do not just send something back without notifying us first.

If you wish to return something that originally incurred a delivery charge such as a £3.95 charge for an order under £49.99 , Saturday delivery charge , or non UK Mainland / Scottish Highlands address this delivery charge would not be refunded and would be minused from the order total.

Manufacturing Faults

If you have a manufacturing fault with your item within 30 days of purchase we will refund or replace the item for you - Exclusions, terms and conditions apply.

Items that develop a faulty after 30 days of purchase will be covered under a manufacturer’s warranty and we will ensure we rectify the fault accordingly or send out replacement parts. The length of your warranty depends on the brand but everything purchased through Bournemouth Baby Centre comes with at least a 1 year guarantee , please see Warranties and/or product instruction manual.

The manufacturer’s warranty only covers against manufacturing faults and does not cover the following:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse such as, but not limited to, improper storage and product care
  • Maintenance and use other than that indicated in the user guide
  • Failure to follow the instructions in the user guide
  • Abuse, neglect, carelessness or accident
  • Modification or alteration of the product
  • Air transportation or freight damage
  • Damage to tyres such as holes, punctures or tears
  • Mounting or installation of third party products such as buggy boards that are not recommended by the manufacturer

Refunds

We will refund all returned ordered within 2 working days of receiving the goods back into our warehouse, refunds can take upto 3 working days to show back into your account.

Warranty

Every product purchased through Bournemouth Baby Centre is covered by at least a 12 Month warranty against manufacturing faults and defects. The warranties we offer depend on each individual brand , we have exactly the same warranty you would get if you bought direct from iCandy (5 years) and Silver Cross (3 years) on wheeled goods.

UK Mainland 1-2 Working Days (Excludes Scottish Highlands)

  • Sent via Tracked DPD & APC delivery service
  • If order is Under £49.99, a delivery charge of £4.95 will be applied
  • Any product not in stock will display 'Pre Order'
  • Saturday Delivery is available for £14.99 (If ordered before 3pm on Friday) and the total order weight is under 25Kg( Excludes Furniture and v.large items)
  • Items of Furniture and Furniture Sets may take longer depending on the Brand
  • During Bank holidays, and busy periods such as Black Friday and Christmas expect delays

Shipping policy

Delivery

Please note we currently Ship to UK , Ireland, France and Germany addresses, if you live somewhere else in the European Union please call or email us for a quote

Delivery of goods within England, Wales & Southern Scotland is FREE on all orders* over £50 and only £4.95 (inc vat) on all orders up to £50.00. We aim to despatch all 'In Stock' orders within 48 hours. We use Royal Mail for small items and Interlink Express or APC for larger shipments. All orders are despatched insured and remain the property of Discount Baby Equipment until signed for. *All items of furniture will incur an extra charge for delivery we are unable to deliver furniture to Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and all Islands off the coast of Britain....See Below:

Shipping & Handling Non- Mainland UK and parts of Scotland.

Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Scily Isles, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and some addresses in Scotland - (Highlands and rural areas) will incur additional delivery charges on small parcels, we are unable to deliver furniture and over sized items to these locations. Our check out will pick up whether an extra charge is to be made when you enter your address.

Delivery time on 'in stock' orders to France and Germany is 3-5 working days, delivery time to Ireland is 2-3 working days.

Saturday Delivery

We offer a Saturday delivery service to most of the mainland UK at a cost of £14.95, orders must be received no later than 3:00pm on the Friday before. Furniture and large cots are excluded from Saturday delivery due to their size and weight . Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service to the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann , France. Germany and Ireland. Please call 01202 730630.

Collect in Store

All items ordered Online can be collected from our Bournemouth store FREE OF CHARGE. You will need to bring the card you paid with and 1 form of ID showing your current address or 2 pieces of identification showing your address if you have paid by Paypal.

Furniture Set Delivery Times

Silver Cross, Boori, Mamas & Papas and Kidsmill Furniture sets come direct from the manufacturer. Please allow the following delivery times:

Silver Cross 4-6 weeks, Boori 3-6 weeks, Mamas and Papas 1-3 weeks, Kidsmill 3-6 weeks

We only deliver furniture items within the UK

Deliver and Build

We also offer a local (approx 30 mile radius) Deliver and Build service which for £170 (3 pc furniture set). Please call our Bournemouth Store for more details.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to despatch all ’In Stock’ orders within 48 hours.

If unfortunately a parcel arrives damaged or appears to have been opened during transit, please sign for as 'damaged' or ' unchecked' so a claim can be processed

 

Wrong Delivery Address / Delivery address different to Billing address

If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, Bournemouth Baby Centre cannot be held responsible for any losses you may incur as a result.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, it will show as ’Available to Pre-Order’. We will back order for you and advise you by email of an approximate delivery date.Most orders will be fulfilled within 30 days.

Finance Orders

Please note for security reasons finance orders must be shipped to the address used for the finance application.

Finance is only available to UK customers

Returns Policy

If you decide to return any item, you will need to notify us within 15 days of receiving it. You will then have a further 14 days to get the item back to us. Once we have received them and provided that it is in perfect, unused condition, complete with all labels attached and any instruction manuals, we will refund your credit/debit card/Paypal payment (please allow up to 14 days).

Please note that any costs incurred returning unwanted items to us are at your expense unless the return is a result of our error. Please email or telephone us before returning any item stating your reason for return. We can arrange to collect unwanted items at a cost of £25 per box - Mainland UK only (excluding some addresses in Scotland and Northern Ireland). Please call for a quote for collection from all other parts of the the UK.

If you wish to return items at your own cost rather than our pick up service, please return to : Bournemouth Baby Centre, Unit 16 Station Approach, Bournemouth, BH1 4NB.

Non UK customers please note delivery times and charges vary depending on country and maximum warranty is 12 months on any product , please check with our service team on particular products as warranty may vary. Pick up charges from non UK countries is £30 per box or you can send back at your own expense

Non UK mainland customers please notr heavy furniture such as cots, dressers and wardrobes cannot be shipped out the the UK due to weight and risk of damage, please call 01202 730630 if you are unsure before ordering to avoid dissapointment

Delivery / Signature Disputes

In the case of a delivery which has been signed for but gone missing at the delivery address, or been requested for the parcel/s to be left in a 'safe' location and then gone missing an investigation will be started as this a criminal offence of theft from a property. the driver will be interviewed and go back to your address again to confirm where he left the parcel and then an investigation on the theft of this item will start. DPD / APC Security manager will start by asking if you and your neighbours if you/they have cctv on their properties or vehicles to see if there is any footage of the theft from your property and then go from there. Possibly the police may have to be involved. Unfortunately this process can take upto 7 working days for this to complete. After this a Denial of receipt letter will be sent to you a you must sign and return it before any replacement will be sent out.
